This piece is sub-rectilinear in plan and sub-rectilinear in section, tapering to a point at the distal end. The dorsal face comprises 3 main facets, whilst the ventral face is virtually featureless, save a faint bulb of percussion detectable when felt. Cast lead or lead alloy probable gaming piece of probable Roman - post medieval date (50-1800). The artefact is cylindrical in shape, circular in plan. The side edges are faceted. The upper and lower faces are plain and flat with no obvious decoration. The gaming piece is a mid grey cream colour with an even patina, there is no evidence of distinct abrasion. A direct parallel has not been found. The gaming piece measures 17.5mm length, 17.2mm width, is 8.2mm high and weighs 17.5 grams.
