An almost complete medieval pilgrim badge, or possibly a brooch, dating to the late 14th-early 15th century. The badge is formed of a cast, flat ring with a quatrefoil in the centre. On the reverse are the pin and catch-plate, which follow the line of the casting seam. Along the edge is a small worn projection, which would have formed a suspension loop. The pin has been distorted but is still complete. There are pellets running around the ring and further decoration on the quatrefoil. A central pellet and linear moulded decoration pick out the detail of the quatrefoil, which resembles…

An incomplete copper alloy mount of post-medieval date. The mount is circular with a slightly domed profile and concave reverse. An integral raised knop is present at the centre of the upper surface though the object is otherwise undecorated. No means of attachment is visible. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The mount is 26.7mm in diameter, 6.5mm thick and weighs 9g.

A lead spindle whorl of uncertain date (c. 800BC - AD 1600). The spindle whorl is circular with one flat face and one domed face. It measures 26.12mm in diameter and features a central circular perforation measuring 8.16mm in diameter. The lead has an off white patina and has been dented on one side. This is old damage as the dent has the same patination as the rest of the object. The artefact measures 26.12mm in diameter (internal diameter 8.16mm) and is 9.01mm thick. It weighs 27.79g.

The hinge has a single, central lug (10.6mm high, 12.3mm long and 2.8mm thick, giving the lid an overall depth of 15.0mm) with a large sub-circular aperture (6.2mm diameter). Badly distorted, incomplete and worn medieval gilt copper alloy oval buckle frame. The bar, which was offset and narrowed and protruding at the sides, is almost all missing. There are two pairs of oblique grooves flanking a central one in the centre of the convex and ovoid-sectioned outside edge. These stand above the level of the surrounding surface. Estimated length and width 18 and 40mm. 13th - 14th century.

Triangular expansions projects from the point at which the two elements meet and the remains of an arm extend from one side of the circular plate. An incomplete gilded silver stirrup finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400). The finger ring has a flat hoop. The finger ring was originally adjustable, with the hoop split in two. One side of the hoop is complete with an rounded end, the other exhibits an old square break. A large fragment of cast copper-alloy metal working debris. It is roughly rectangular in form and triangular in section, tapering at one end while expanding at the other where it is open and flattened. All surfaces are pitted and have sooting or burning suggesting exposure to heat or fire. It measures 88.85mm in length, 33.52mm in width, 22.22mm in thickness, and 93.82g in weight. This is a large fragment of metal working debris that could be of any date from the Bronze Age onward.
