A Post-Medieval gold finger-ring with a high hexagonal bezel set on a rosette which holds a pink stone (possibly glass), which does not appear to be original. The shoulders with carved ornament bear the traces of the original black enamel.

Description: A complete gold post-medieval finger ring. The band is circular and slightly squashed, the band is 7.85mm wide, 1.55mm thick and broadly U shaped in cross section. The centre of the band is 1.85mm wide and flat, it is flanked by three circumferential stepped ridges and two circumferential grooves.
The central band is inscribed with lettering 2.2mm in height * EYD . VS , O . GOD . OVER . BOND . TO . KEPE
Internally the band is flat and is inscribed with lettering c. 5mm high * I . E . B .
