An incomplete copper alloy Roman finger ring dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The ring is D-shaped in profile with an oval bezel consisting of a raised metal reserve which forms an oval recess for a glass or paste setting (now missing). The outer edges of the reserve feature a series of longitudinal grooves. The bezel measures 12.54mm in length, 8.64mm in width and is 2.38mm deep. The bezel is flanked by oval shoulders, each of which features a small depression in the centre. The loop then tapers from the shoulders.
