Medieval lead seal matrix of 13th or 14th century date The matrix complete and is of circular form (29.7 - 30.3mm diameter and weighting 16.3g). At the apex on the rear is a trapezoidal lug (11.5mm long, 7.3mm deep, 4.7mm thick and giving the matrix an overall depth of 10.2mm), which unusually does not have a perforation. Otherwise, the rear of the matrix is flat and is not decorated.
