Incomplete medieval to post-medieval copper alloy purse bar, rectangular central boss (width 32mm, height 17mm, 8mm thick) with vertical perforation and worn semicircle on one side of base, between twin concave cut-outs, containing a swivelling bar at the base of squashed suspension-loop with thick circular rove at foot. The stumps of the integral bar project from both sides of the boss. Both faces of the rectangular boss have a deep bordering groove on both sides and a transverse groove at the top. Cf.
