Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an offset, narrowed bar, a sheet roller with a constriction in the centre of the convex, thickened, D-sectioned outside edge, and D-sectioned pin. There is a median groove on the roller. Cf. Egan and Griffiths 1991, no. 270. Length 16mm. Width 19.5mm. Width of roller 5mm. Mid 12th - 14th century.

Incomplete medieval to post-medieval copper alloy purse bar, rectangular central boss (width 32mm, height 17mm, 8mm thick) with vertical perforation and worn semicircle on one side of base, between twin concave cut-outs, containing a swivelling bar at the base of squashed suspension-loop with thick circular rove at foot. The stumps of the integral bar project from both sides of the boss. Both faces of the rectangular boss have a deep bordering groove on both sides and a transverse groove at the top. Cf. Medieval copper alloy domed thimble, a robust piece with very evident folding at the base. Above a plain band the exterior is covered by a continuous spiral of round indentations. A round area at the top of the dome (8mm in diameter) has been left clear of indentations but contains an engraved lozenge. Diameter 19.3mm. Height 16mm. c.1400 - c.1450.
