An incomplete Medieval lead alloy pilgrim souvenir in the form of a rondel dagger scabbard, dating to the 15th century. The object is hollow cast with a round mouthpiece, larger than the rest, at the top and a diamond-shaped body beneath, tapering to the chape. The object has several projections along the body which appear to be casting sprues, suggesting this object is unfinished. The two projections along the mouthpiece would have formed a suspension loop. There is decoration on one side only, presumably the side facing forwards. An almost complete medieval pilgrim badge, or possibly a brooch, dating to the late 14th-early 15th century. The badge is formed of a cast, flat ring with a quatrefoil in the centre. On the reverse are the pin and catch-plate, which follow the line of the casting seam. Along the edge is a small worn projection, which would have formed a suspension loop. The pin has been distorted but is still complete. There are pellets running around the ring and further decoration on the quatrefoil. A central pellet and linear moulded decoration pick out the detail of the quatrefoil, which resembles…

An incomplete Medieval pilgrim souvenir, dating to the late 15th century. The object is part of a Virgin's girdle souvenir. It is solid cast with an irregularly shaped panel at the base and a bifurcated plate above. One half of the bifurcated plate is no longer present, though traces of it remain on the reverse along the line of a casting seam. A circular perforation, which would have connected the strap end to the strap with a rivet, is still visible. An identical perforation would have been on the other plate. The object is decorated on the external side only. There is a cross ha…
