An incomplete copper-alloy Roman finger ring, dating from the 2nd or 3rd century AD. The bezel is oval, its surface decorated by an irregular swirl motif with recessed, light enamel-filled fields. A groove extends around the perimeter of the bezel, creating a rim. The shoulders are of 'D-shaped' section and taper towards the points at which they have been broken in antiquity. Surviving width: 15.8mm; width of bezel: 9.8mm. Weight: 3.23g.

The ring is D-shaped in profile with an oval bezel consisting of a raised metal reserve which forms an oval recess for a glass or paste setting (now missing).
