Copper alloy and possible hinge pivot. Initially considered as a coat hook or similar, but the sharp angle might rather commend an identification as a hinge pivot, possibly from furniture rather than a structural context. Cast coat hook with a round section shank angled at its mid point and an expanded and collared terminal which retains the rust stain from an iron or steel fixing pin. Now bent. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900. Length (as found): 25.6mm, Diameter (at terminal): 11.0mm, shank Thickness: 4.1mm, Weight: 5.81gms.
