Cast copper alloy dolphin brooch dating from the early Roman period, that is the 1st -2nd century (AD75-175). The brooch is plain. It is complete except for the pin which is missing. It has a T-shaped cross bar with a tube that housed the spring or, more likely, the hinged attachment mechanism. The bow is short and humped and the foot is just a folded-over piece of metal.
