Incomplete medieval gilt copper alloy cruciform harness mount for the suspension of a pendant with three attachment holes between double cusps and tongue-shaped terminal lobes (the lobe on one transverse arm is missing). Very little gilding has survived. The form is quite common, e.g. one from London (Griffiths, N. in Clark 1995, 69, no. 75), with details of cusps and terminals as ibid. no. 73. Both form and decorative details can be seen on many examples on this database, e.g. WILT-8C0BA7. Height 42mm. Estimated width 57mm. 13th - 14th century

Incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester Derivative Polden Hill brooch, most of the pin and part of the solid catchplate missing. The wings are moulded with a reel between two beaded ribs. The D-sectioned bow tapers to apoint and is decorated with a median sunken beaded ridge. Mackreth 2011, CD PH 6.a3. The arrangement of the fitting of the spring into the rear of the head is similar to that of ibid. plate 51 no.21115. Wingspan 26.2mm. Length 50.2mm. c.43 - c.100 AD.

About one half of a Middle Saxon copper alloy Ansate brooch in rather battered condition, with an incomplete catchplate on the reverse. The sub-circular terminal is decorated with an engraved single-line cross with a punched ring-and-dot in each angle. Incomplete Late Saxon copper alloy finger ring, cast in the form of double-strand rounded-sectioned twisted rods, and tapering to both breaks. Finger ring of plaited rods, both real and casted to appear as such, are a Scandinavian type, as are larger types of ring, "Viking Period finger-rings are characteristically........smaller versions of standard types of arm-ring and neck-ring." (Graham-Campbell 1980, 65, cat. no. 238). See LVPL-CB0EBF and SF-16B905. External diameter 26.5 - 27mm. c.850 - c.1100.

Incomplete Middle Saxon to medieval sheet copper alloy circular hooked tag, parts of the edge and the tip of the hook missing. A central round hole is within a punched ring which is surrounded by four much smaller ring-and-dots, all within a linear border. Length 12.5mm. Diameter 9mm. Incomplete, possibly Late Saxon or medieval copper alloy comb. The upper part is largely taken up with an elongated, probably oval aperture which is truncated by the break. At the intact end this part oversails the lower, and near the end a small triangular lug projects from the top. An offset runs long the full extant length and on both faces so that the upper part is thicker than the lower, the offset being much more pronounced on one face.
