Incomplete and distorted Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy Colchester brooch, half the spring, the pin, and part of the catchplate missing. The wings are undecorated and the bow is sub-oval sectioned, slightly flattened on the rear. There were probably two perforations in the catchplate. Wingspan 11mm. Length c.50mm. c.20 - c.70 AD.

A complete copper alloy toggle of Iron Age to Roman date. The toggle is of the dumbbell type comprising two globular hemispherical terminals joined by a waisted central circular shaft. Integral raised collars are present where the shaft and terminals meet. The metal has a mid green patina and is worn. The toggle is 23.2mm long, 11.7mm in diameter at the terminals, 8mm in diameter at the shaft and weighs 11.1g. Numerous similar examples have been recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database, for example: YORYM-1A6833, SWYOR-72CC15A, NARC-4C2B74 and NCL-DD6E92.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Romano-British lipped terret ring, dating from the late Iron Age or early Roman period, about 100 BC - AD 100. The object is curved with each end terminating with a break. It is oval in cross-section. There are five ovoid knops, two of which are incomplete, in the form of pouting lips spaced at regular intervals along the frame, each bisected by a longitudinal groove running down the centre. Fragment of a Late Iron Age copper alloy bow brooch of uncertain type, in rather battered condition with both ends broken. The D-sectioned bow swells for a short distance from the upper break around a pair of bosses before tapering past two transverse grooves to the lower break which truncates a crumpled catchplate on the reverse. No parallel noted. Extant length and width 44.8 and 10.7mm. c.50 BC - c.42 AD.

An incomplete Late Iron Age/ Early Roman rosette or thistle brooch dating to c.AD25-60. It consists of the damaged tubular wings/ spring cover and six coils of the incomplete spring, the bow, and much of the plate and leg. All are apparently cast as one. The brooch is extremely worn with damage around the edges and almost all of the original patina is missing. The copper-alloy spring is contained within a cylindrical, open-ended casing, damaged at either end and to the reverse exposing the spring coils. It measures 24.54mm in length.
