The hoop is oval shaped in section with terminals that taper to points and would originally have overlapped to form the ring shape. One terminal is now missing due to old breaks and the ring is currently oval shaped in form with the terminals spread apart due to post-depositional damage. A complete copper alloy buckle of early-medieval date. The buckle is D-shaped in plan and circular in section with a narrowed and recessed strap bar. The outer edge of the frame is wide and decorated with parallel curved incisions giving a twisted rope-like effect and the pin no longer remains. Where the frame meets the strap bar it terminates in zoomorphic knops which are most probably crude representations of animal heads confronting across the bar. A cast copper alloy hooked tag dating to the Early Medieval period. The object is a one-piece sheet copper alloy dress hook. The object is triangular in plan and tapering to a rearward facing hook. At the top of the object are two circular rivet holes, one of which is incomplete. The outer face is decorated with a grooved border. Pair of Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy tweezers engaged with a copper alloy wire suspension ring, the overlapping ends of which are twisted into a slip-knot. The arms expand in their lower parts to inturned blades. An engraved line follows the lower parts of both edges on both arms. Sooty material adhers to parts of the inner and outer surfaces. Length 48mm. Width 2 - 11.7mm. Diameter of ring 16.5 - 18.2mm. 8th - 9th century.

A complete copper alloy buckle of Early-Medieval date. The buckle frame is annular with extreme mixed copper and iron corrosion within and projecting out to one side suggesting the presence of a heavily corroded plate. The degree of corrosion obscures any detail. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The buckle is 21.3mm long, 16mm wide, 10.1mm thick and weighs 6.6g.

Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy strap end of Thomas 2003 Class A, Type 5 with a scalloped attachment edge. Below the fan-shaped field at the split end the front of the body is divided longitudinally into two cells inlaid with niello now coloured a dull off-white. Of spirals of silver wire that would have been set in the niello only one small curve remains. Inlay in the ears and on the brow of the elongated animal-head terminal has fared similarly. Incomplete Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy pin, most of the shank missing. Above a collar the flat ovoid head is decorated in counter relief with a stylised backward-turning open-beaked bird. There is some recent damage to the head. Bird are frequently depicted on pin heads of this period but no close parallel has been noted for this example. Extant length 30.5mm. Width 19.3mm. Thickness of head 1mm. Diameter of shank 1.8mm. 9th century.

The outer curved edge of the frame is swollen and undecorated with no recess for the pin and the pin no longer remains. The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is extremely worn. The buckle is 24.2mm long, 14.4mm wide, 5.4mm thick and weighs 3.8g.
