A copper-alloy Roman sestertius, probably of Commodus (AD 175-192), dating to the period AD 190 (Reece period 9). Reverse type depicting Genius standing left holding patera and cornucopiae, an altar to the left, S-C in the field. Mint of Rome. Cf. BMC no. 645 passim; RIC III, no. 561. The coin has suffered from deliberate damage in antiquity that has removed much of the obverse type, with mutliple diagonal grooves visible on the surface of the coin. A fragment of a copper-alloy double-loop trapezoidal buckle frame of post-medieval date, c. 1620-1680. The fragment consists of a single solid triangular pointed outer edge, with a truncated edge at one end, and a complete loop edge on the other. Following this latter is a lobed protrusion at the end of the pin bar; the edge of the other loop is vestigial beyond. Only half of the pin bar remains further to the lobed protrusion; the pin, naturally, is missing. The reverse is flat, while the front has bevelling both internally and externally. Fragment of a probable Middle Bronze Age palstave axe head. Only the damaged butt-end broken close to the start of what appears to be side flanges survives. The profile is trapezoidal and the cross section is I shaped with concave sides. The surface is corroded with a granular appearance, fairly worn and pitted. The break is worn. Overall length is: 25.89 mm, the width is: 24.33 mm and thickness is: 8.61 mm. Weight is: 19.70 Grammes.

A complete Medieval copper alloy coin weight for a noble, dated to c.1421-1471 AD. The weight is circular with a raised line border and stamped fleur de lis and crown. According to Withers and Withers (1995, p.34) this is an example of a group of "English weights made according to an Act of Parliament of 1421. Several punches for the crown and lis are known. The small hole in the centre of the weight is the mark made when the flan was turned to the correct size. Weights of this type probably ceased being made ca.1471."
