An almost complete, worn, slightly damaged and misshapen post-Medieval sheet silver closed thimble (c. 1600-c. 1700). Treasure case no. 2014 T773. The upper half of the walls has horizontal circumferential lines of regularly spaced circular indentations. The lower half has two parallel circumferential lines of knurling enclosing three shallow parallel circumferential grooves. There is a shallow circular depression on the bare crown.
