A strap-end fragment consisting of part of the attachment end and part of a decorated panel. The attachment end is split to take the strap, but no rivet holes survive. There is a hint of a single ring-and-dot motif. The decorated panel has ornament of engraved lines; there is a single-line border, and at the top a U-shaped curve in the centre. Below this are two further curved lines which may represent eyebrows, with widely set eyes each consisting of a small curved line below the eyebrows at the edge of the panel. A cast copper alloy flat-backed fitting, probably originally V-shaped and symmetrical, and possibly a pendant. One arm of the V is now missing. The object has an outward-facing zoomorphic head which forms the surviving terminal and there is a second, larger, head at the junction which faces in the opposite direction. The loop at the apex survives partially. The smaller head is schematically shown with an open mouth and has very prominent rounded pellet-form eyes. The ears form a divided collar behind the eyes. The lower part and flange of a cast copper alloy stirrup-strap mount of Class A, but uncertain Type. The mount is closest to Type 12. The mount is openwork with square apertures and possibly originally had two rivets in the flange, one of which survives.
