An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular buckle plate of Medieval date. Only part of the front plate survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn. It is flat. The front face is decorated with a shield-shaped heraldic device in relief. The front face of the shield is decorated with cross-hatch decoration with traces of red enamel on both the longitudinal and transverse lines. Around the shield are traces of gilding. Incomplete cast copper alloy flat quatrefoil mount in the form of a rosette cross with four rounded petals alternating with pointed leaves that extend as knops beyond the curved edges. There is a central recessed circle and four bands of incised transverse lines emanating outwards in a cross formation from the centre through the middle of each petal. Copper alloy with textile folding clasp, Cast sub-rectangular frame with a solid rotating closure on a strip looped around its outer edge, and with a slightly tapered plate wrapped around the inner edge. The plate is fastened at its end by a rivet of diameter 1.6mm, and retains part of a fabric strip which is now off-white in colour, of thickness 1.7mm. Suggested date: Medieval, 1300-1450. Neolithic axehead, complete, though heavily rolled so that the flake scars are almost obscured. The patination is a variegated buff brown. A recent chip towards the butt shows that the flint was originally mid-grey. The degree of wear shows that this object must have been in the sea for a considerable period of time. 169 x 68.5 x 37mm.

Sword pommel cap: Pommel cap made from thin gold sheet over a probable copper-alloy (or possibly iron) base. The sloping shoulders of the pommel are straight (or very slightly concave) but the apex is convex and curved. The filigree work is set on flat triangular backplates, with other parts of the pommel covered with separate pieces of thin gold sheet. One face of the pommel cap has a central lozenge-shaped setting, now empty. A fragment of corroded iron tang projects from the underside of the pommel. The form of impression is commonly found on 5th/6th-century pottery, e.g. Spong Hill Type 1a (EAA 6, fig.98), however, the object is not closely datable with any degree of certainty. 5th-17th century.

Incomplete Late Saxon mount probably from the upper part of stirrup. Of C-shaped section with possible traces of solder on the inner surface. Both sides broken across an irregular incised oval, a complete example of which survives of the front face, moulded rib upper and lower ends. Two such mounts were soldered onto the upper part of the stirrup on both sides of the strap loop (Williams 1997, fig. 4). Length 16.5mm, width 11mm. Weighs 292g. 11th century.
