Post-medieval button consisting of a biconical lead head with a clockwise eight-bladed impeller in counter-relief on the front face and the remains of an iron wire loop embedded in the reverse. Diameter 15.5mm. Thickness / length of head 10mm. 17th century.

Post-medieval copper alloy button consisting of a solid plano-convex head and an integral drilled loop. The head is decorated with a moulded clockwise eight-bladed impeller around a central nipple and within a cabled border, cf. Read 2005, nos. 106 and 112. Diameter 13.6mm. Length 13.6mm. 16th century.

Copper alloy button. Flat discoid button, probably stamped, with drawn wire loop on the back. The front bears a device of a central bar with expanded middle and fleur de lis ends, with four arcs intersecting it, two at each end, and with further features to the left and right edges. Indistinct maker's details, possibly including a cushion crown motif, appear on the back. Robustly cleaned by the finder. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.
Diameter: 16.1mm, Thickness (clear of loop): 0.8mm, Weight: 1.28gms.
