Record ID: SF-63DB08
Object type: DEBITAGE
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Suffolk
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
An unpatinated leaf-shaped flake struck from a mottled grey flint. Both faces have partial scaled flake removal around their outer edges, with limited and crude semi-abrupt, scaled edge retouch. Traces of cortex are visible on both faces in small patches , and larger flake removal and the edge retouch have removed both the bulb of percussion and striking platform. This is perhaps a retouched flake intended to function as a simple scraper or similar object. It measures 49.84mm in length, 41.27mm in width, 10.24mm in thickness, and 18.43g in weight. It is of probable Neolithic to Bronze…
