A lead spindle-whorl of Medieval date. It is a circular spindle whorl with a central circular hole which is full of iron residue. It is flat and undecorated. Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1100-1500.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle frame of post medieval date. It is a d-shaped frame with a narrowed bar for the pin which is missing due to old breaks. It is rectangular in cross-section and there is a pointed knop in the middle of the outside edge which would have formed a rest for the pin. It is covered in a mid green patina.

A complete copper alloy chape of medieval date. The chape is made from a single piece of rectangular sectioned copper alloy rolled to form a tapering tube with overlapping seam, open at the wider end and closed at the pointed end. The chape is undecorated and a single attachment hole is present thought the remains of a second can be seen to the opposite side.
The metal has a light brownish-green patina and is worn. The chape is 48.7mm long, 19.4mm in widest diameter, 1.1mm thick and weighs 10.7g.

A silver one reale of Charles and Joanna dating to the period AD 1542 - 1568. Crowned column on water reverse. Mint of Mexico city under assayer L - Luis Rodriguez. Late series.
In the late series issue of these coins the two crowned pillars of Hercules were placed in water, representing their actual location at the Straits of Gibraltar symbolizing the ocean passage from the Old World to the New.

Roman copper alloy hinged Colchester Derivative (dolphin) brooch. Circular-sectioned wings open at either end with traces of iron corrosion from the axis bar, stub of broken pin protrudes from the slot, incomplete sub-rectangular sectioned bow, the foot missing. The brooch is worn and corroded with no trace of any decoration except for a curved groove on the upper face separating the start of the bow from the wings. Width 45mm. Surviving length 38mm. Circa 55 - 80 AD.
