An incomplete medieval copper alloy circular seal matrix of Fulk III FitzWarin, Lord of Whitington, Shropshire. The seal is inscribed SIGILLVM F[VLCONIS FIL]II WARINI (seal of Fulk FitzWarin). The seal matrix is large with a diameter of c.54mm. The matrix is in extremely good condition and fine detail can be seen on the impression. The centre of the matrix bears the image of a helmeted knight (FitzWarin) on horseback, charging right with shield in left hand and sword raised behind body in the right. A fragment from the foot of a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. A small triangular fragment, probably from the corner of the foot, survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. All surfaces have sooting and the fragment measures 16.55mm in length, 14.30mm in width, 20.61mm in thickness, and 9.69g in weight. This fragment is of porbable later Medieval to early Post-Medieval date, c.14th-17th centuries AD.

An incomplete copper alloy buckle of medieval date. All that remains is the sub-triangular integral plate and a very short length of the buckle frame. Transverse ridges are present to either end of the plate through which rivets remain. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 42.3mm long, 11.6mm wide, 6.1mm thick and weighs 2.9g.
Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead p.33 and are dated to circa AD 1250 - 1400.

The awl is a long thin solid cone that tapers to a fine point, the bottom of the cone is decorated with a beaded border that is flanked by two recessed lines. Behind the cone is a square cross section, tapering tang which has been truncated halfway down its length.

A cast copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is as Meols type 2, with D-shaped frame that has an offset and narrowed cylindrical bar, and expanded outer edge. The frame has been partially bent at the bar end due to post-depositional damage. It measures 22.26mm in width, 15.10mm in length, 2.92mm in thickness, and 2.07g in weight. This buckle is of Medieval date, c.14th century AD.

A complete copper alloy buckle of medieval to post-medieval date. The buckle is a double looped oval with moulded knops to either end of the strap bar. The pin no longer remains and the reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 34.6mm long, 23.8mm wide, 3.4mm thick and weighs 6.7g.
Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.54 and are dated to circa AD 1350 - 1650.

An incomplete copper alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date. Roughly half of the double loop trapezoidal buckle remains. The surviving loop has an expanded pointed end and lobed protrusions to either end of the strap bar. The pin no longer remains though traces of iron corrosion are present. Large patches of silvering remain over much of the surface.
The metal has a light greyish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 21mm long, 21.2mm wide, 2.1mm thick and weighs 2.6g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.82, no.511 and is dated to circa AD 1620 - 1680.

An incomplete cast copepr-alloy buckle pin of Medieval date. It is rectangular in form and section, tapering to a sharp point. At the attachment end is a double transverse grip or collar, above which extends an incomplete sub-oval loop. The entire object measures 41.54mm in length, 3.29mm in width, 3.33mm in thickness (11.35mm at loop), and 3.04g in weight. This buckle pin is of Medieval date, c.14th century AD.
