Roman (probably 1st century) bracelet: The copper-alloy fragment is rectangular with both narrow terminals being broken, but not recently. The fragment has been curled forming an irregular drop shape. The exterior has moulded decoration which is formed by bordering parallel ridges with fine ribbing and grooves either side. Between these the central band is slightly domed, otherwise undecorated. The decoration at one terminal also includes an oblique row of crescentic stamps. I am very grateful to John Llywelyn Williams for the following description: The axe has a mottled green and brownish yellow corroded surface and is most likely made of bronze. Its most notable feature is its small size - with a length from butt to cutting edge of 73.4mm. The axe is well made with a thin rounded butt and the body expanding to form a slightly asymmetric cutting edge with rounded terminations. An incomplete sheet copper-alloy bell of probable Post-Medieval date. One hemisphere survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The surviving hemisphere has a narrow rectangular sound slot with circular sound holes at each end, and a single circular rivet(?) hole above the sound slot towards the outer edge. The entire fragment has been partially flattened and measures 19.13mm in length/diameter, 13.68mm in width (flattened), 0.37mm in thickness, and 0.79g in weight. This bell is of probable Post-Medieval date, c.16th-18th centuries AD.
