A silver pedestal / pendant Seal Matrix of the Post Medieval Period (circa AD 1500 - AD 1700). The die (face) of the seal is oval in plan. The reverse face rises into an irregular tapering six sided pedestal topped by two collars, made from concentric circumferential moulded bands, between which is a tapered section. Above the concentric bands is a globular knop pierced by a single traverse suspension hole (internal diameter: 3.4 mm). A small globular knop sits on the very top of the object.
