A complete, Medieval/Post Medieval C15th-16th, copper alloy, cast, single loop, kidney shaped buckle of medium/fair size. Concave front with moulded, multiple oblique radiating line decoration which is quite deep at the centre but becomes gradually shallower towards the ends. There is a sheet construction tapering pointed tongue which is still fully functional. Little wear, dark green attractive patina just a slightly more corroded matt surface at the smaller end. This weight has an irregular slightly convex base and slightly uneven flat upper surface but tapered bevelled sides with upper surface smaller than the convex lower one.
