A medieval copper-alloy folding strap-clasp
The frame is sub-rectangular in plan, its horizontal sides bowing outwards slightly. A sheet metal roller has been attached to the vertical outer side of the frame, and the rectangular plate has been doubled around the axis bar. A single rivet hole, centrally located at the non-frame end, marks the point at which a rivet (now missing) would have held the plate to the strap. At the frame end, an attached piece of corroded iron wire suggests that the strap-clasp may later have been converted into a single-loop buckle by inserting a pin.

A copper-alloy sword/dagger scabbard chape of Medieval date.
The chape has been made from a piece of sheet metal which has been rolled into a cone and then partially flattened. The seam is split and distorted and this exposes traces of solder within. It is presumed the seam is located at the back of the object. The chape's point is formed from a petal closure which is now very distorted. The front is scalloped at the top and there are two circular perforations, presumably decorative, which are located at different heights, a short distance down from the top, close to each edge. In …

It is sub-trapeziodal in shape with a slightly flared muzzle. The eyes and nostrils are drilled and deeply recessed. Corney suggests they may have been inlaid, although there is no trace of this visible. The top of the head features a projecting area with a lattice-work decoration, possibly intended to suggest stylised horns or antlers, however, this has been heavily obscured by iron corrosion. The reverse is flat and features a large amount of i…

An Iron Age copper alloy unit, probably of Tasciovanus (20-9 BC), dating 15-10 BC. The obverse is very worn so difficult to discern what it would have depicted. The reverse depicts a horse running left. Although the obverse is no longer legible, the ring and dot at the head and shoulder of the horse, as well as the crescent in the field, are common on the coins of Tasciovanus. The closest parallel is on a silver stater in Hobbs (1996, no. 1654), though the horse is facing in the opposite direction.
