An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp with integral openwork triangular plate, of possible early-medieval or medieval date (c.1050-1200). It measures 34.20mm in length, 16.05mm wide, 7.65mm max thickness (boss), 4.35mm thick otherwise, and weighs 7.62g. At one end is the triangular plate, which has square-section arms flaring to a wide bar which is slightly recessed to take a strap or plate about 9mm wide. A post medieval copper alloy gilded strap fitting or decorative mount dating to the period AD c1600-1700. The mount is in the shape of a 'Tudor' rose, with moulded decoration comprising a central pellet surrounded by three rings of five petals on the front and five sepals between each of the outer ring of petals. There is the remains of gilding on the front. On the reverse, are two integrally cast attachment prongs which were inserted through a leather strap and folded over to hold the fitting in place. A small remnant of the leather strap remains attached to the prongs.

Copper alloy blade fragment of uncertain date The blade is fragmentary, broken at one end (with a surviving length of 51.9mm and a weight of 6.0g). The blade is of oval section (with a width of 9.8mm and a thickness of 2.7mm at the break) and subtle midrib flanked by gently concave blade edges. An incomplete probably Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper-alloy buckle (AD 1100-1500). The pin is missing. In plan, the frame is an elongated oval shape and has a narrowed bar to hold the pin (4.55mm wide). In cross section the buckle is broadly D shaped, on the upper face of the outer edge there is a wear mark created by the pin tip. The frame has a shiny green patina. The buckle is 33.8mm in wide, 28.35mm in length, 10.55mm thick and weighs 10.34 grams

A copper alloy Roman disc brooch dating from AD 80 - 250. The circular brooch was probably once enamelled, but none of the surface decoration now survives, perhaps having been melted or otherwise damaged. On the reverse there is a raised rib across the centre with the double pin lug at one end and the incomplete catchplate at the other. The head of the copper alloy pin survives. The brooch is 23.73mm diameter, 9.48mm thick (plate 1.66mm thick). 4.57g. The brooch has a grey green patina. See the Roman Brooch Timeline by Worrell (2007).
