Front part of a medieval rectangular gilt copper alloy buckle plate, broken across the fold, with a pin slot, frame recesses and two rivet holes near the slightly wider inside edge. Within a frame a wyvern of angular outline facing left is reserved on a field of enamel, the surface of which has been lost. What remains appears black. A line of rocker-arm engraving runs around the frame, and short lines of the same decorate the head, bdoy and tail of the beast. Length 36.5mm. Width 18.2 - 19mm. Thickness 1mm. 13th - 14th century

Thumbnail scraper made using an older, presumably Neolithic (4000-2350) flake which was entirely covered in white patina with two broad flakes removed from its dorsal side and with a pronounced striking platform. These features remain unmodified, but the working edge bears low angled invasive scalar retouch executed from the original dorsal side which has removed patina. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC. Length: 24.9mm, Width: 30.2mm, Thickness: 10.2mm, Weight: 8.93gms.

Medieval copper alloy harness pendant of 13th or 14th century date The pendant is of cruciform type and is near-complete missing the top of the loop (with a surviving length of 30.5mm and a weight of 9.4g). The incomplete loop (with a surviving length of 4.4mm and a diameter of 2.6mm) is thinned (at 1.7mm). The cruciform pendant comprises a central square box (7.2mm square and 6.3mm thick) with narrowed arms of D-shaped section (2mm wide and 3-4mm thick) with sub-spherical terminals (6mm - 8mm diameter). A possible copper alloy Roman seal box lid dating to the period AD 43-400.The seal box is 25.62mm in length, 18.5mm in width and weighs 1.68g. The lid is principally circular in shape with a triangular section extending from the circle to form the catch. At the top, there are two loops that extends back which would have formed part of the hinge attaching the front of the seal box to the back. The lid is decorated with a circle of punched dots at the center of the lid along with two paralell lines of punched dots which run horizontally across the catch. The back of the lid is plain.

Early Saxon gilt copper alloy mount, sub-triangular or axe-shaped with two concave long sides and one convex short, and on the reverse close to the apex an integral rivet which secures a fragment of iron. On the front face a field of chip-carved Style I decoration within a frame of the same shape is topped by a moulded ring and dot at the apex. 24.5 x 21.8mm. Thickness 1mm. Weight 4.29g. All edges of the flat iron plate are broken. It measures 22 x 15.5mm and is c.2.5mm thick. c.550 - c.600 AD.
