An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy composite buckle frame with an integral forked spacer (c. 1350-c. 1450). The loop is a Meols Type 3/4. The plates and part of the pin are missing. The oval frame is bevelled externally on the upper face and has a triangular lip at the centre of the outer edge. There is a tapering slot to accommodate the pin which is made of copper-alloy wire. In plan, the prongs are stepped and taper towards the attachment end. This buckle has patches of a dark green patina. Numerous file marks can be seen on the loop and prongs. Length: 41.0m…

A complete post-Medieval silver cufflink element (c. 1700-c. 1800). This single element is octagonal in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear and has a down-turned edge. It has a separate soldered attachment loop. At the front, engraved decoration consists of an octagonal border with slightly scalloped sides. In the centre is a rose with four main petals alternately with four smaller petals or calyx. The four main petals have a curved line inside the edge.
