A copper alloy Colchester Derivative Roman Brooch dating to AD 50-150. The head of the brooch comprises two wings which are D shaped in cross section (5.6mm in diameter) and decorated with double lines circling the front of each end of the wings. In the centre there is a raised line which then leads into the bow of the brooch.
The bow is broadly D shaped in cross-section near the wings (the reverse is bevelled) but becomes oval in cross-section towards the foot. Both the catchplate and pin are missing.
