A complete Medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at London. Class 2b, 1279-1280 (North 1991: 28, ref: 1015).
Obverse: EDWR'ANGL'DNS hYB (normal Ns, wedge contraction marks); Crowned bust facing with a trifoliate crown and wedged drapery
Reverse: VILL/ABR/ISTO/LLIE; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant
Diameter: 18.6mm. Weight: 1.29g. DA=12:3-4.

The ball is spherical with some pitting and has a slight equatorial bulge. It is grey with traces of a buff patina and there is no impact mark.
The weight suggest that it was used in a small musket (Harding 2012).

The ball is sub-spherical with some pitting and is flat on one side, probably due to impact with hard surface. It is grey with traces of a light buff patina.
The weight suggests that it was used in a pistol (Harding 2012).

An incomplete copper-alloy single-loop buckle, dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods.
The frame is sub-circular in plan, having an outward-pointing pin rest. Two tapering points project backwards from the right-hand side of the frame, separated from one another by a constriction, around which the inner end of the wire pin has been looped.
The frame has a green patina with some soil impaction. Length of frame: 28.86 mm. Width: 14.82 mm. Thickness: 1.83 mm. Weight: 2.027 grams.

A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy and gilded bridle boss (1700-1900).
The boss is circular in plan and umbonate in form and rises to a small nipple at the apex. It is probably hollow on the underside. There are pairs of circumferential grooves around the nipple, umbo and close to periphery. Three equally spaced dome-headed copper alloy rivets penetrate the border to secure a separate iron back-plate which is corroded and incomplete. The rivet heads have a diameter of 4.6mm and their ends have been burred over.

Incomplete cast copper alloy single loop composite buckle frame. The oval shaped loop is angled to a shallow point at its outside terminal end. The narrower parts of both spacer forks have been lost to old breaks. Nothing remains of the front and back plates that would have originally been soldered to the frame. Dated 1250-1450 AD.

A medieval cast copper-alloy bar mount in the form of a central circular element flanked by two small sub-rectangular outer ends. The centre element is domed with a concave back and convex front, the end elements are rounded at the front with concave backs.The ends each have a pierced hole though the centre, one of which holds a separate copper-alloy rivet.
