A complete copper-alloy medieval bar mount dating to the 14th century AD. The terminal lobes are drilled and contain remnants of two separate copper-alloy rivets which would have attached the mount to a strap. The mount is formed of a central sub-oval body, from which two sub-rectangular terminal lobes extend. All are hemispherical in cross-section and concave on the underside. The upper surface of the central oval lobe is decorated with irregular cross-hatching, composed of three prominent transverse grooves and a series of shallow longitudinal lines. A complete but misshapen and fractured Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy closed thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550). This thimble is domed and the thick walls have a continuous spiral of hand drilled circular pits that spiral in a clockwise direction from the base towards the crown. A complete Roman copper-alloy tripod mount which depicts a forward facing male bust. The bust has moulded facial features with prominent annulet-like eyes. The moulding encompasses the whole object which implies it is intended to be viewed in 3 dimensions. Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle plate of thick sheet in the form of a bird, body and wings separated by roughly keyhole-shaped spaces. There is a pin slot, no frame recesses, and a tiny spiked projection on both sides next to fold. Very faint decoration, possibly punched triangles surround the rounded ends of these spaces. Fragment of a Late Saxon copper alloy comb pendant in battered condition. The curving edge of an aperture and stumps of four teeth are present. 30.3 x 14.6 x 2.2mm. Metal comb pendants of this type are of East Scandinavian or Baltic origin. A comparison with better-preserved examples indicates that the form and decoration are in the Ringerike style of the 11th century.
