A copper-alloy repoussé plate brooch (Mackreth's repousse disc type) dating to the mid-second to mid-third century AD. The brooch is flat and circular. The upper surface was originally decorated with a thin metal foil with a stamped triskele motif of which only a small corroded portion, perhaps only of the adhesive remains. The diameter of the brooch measures 25mm and is a maximum of 2mm thick. The catchplate is 6mm in length and 4mm in width. cf.
