Early post-medieval halfpenny of Henry VII or Henry VIII (more likely to be Henry VIII), probably dating from c. AD1509-1526. London mint. Initial mark illegible. Position of the C in the obverse legend suggests a HENRIC DEI GRA REX AGL legend in which case it will be a Henry VIII halfpenny of the first coinage dating from 1509-26. Obv: [HENRIC DEI GRA REX AGL] Rev: [CIVITAS LON]DON NB: Images and findspot information kindly provided by the finder/rally organiser.

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-looped buckle, likely dating to the sixteenth to seventeenth century AD. The buckle consists of two symetrical D-shaped loops which are bevelled, with a central strap bar. The buckle is plano-convex; both loops are bent upwards from the strap bar and appear to have moulded decorative grooves on the outer side of each loop, although they are unclear on one half due to corrosion. The pin is missing, although residue on the strap bar indicates that there was once a iron pin present. The buckle measures 24.3 mm long, 30.3 mm wide, 1.7 m m thick and…
