A cast copper-alloy single-loop buckle frame from the Medieval period, circa 1300-1400 . The frame is broadly 'D' shaped, extending to a maximum width at the pointed pin rest.The frame has a slightly narrowed axis bar which has a near 90 degree backward projection at either end. The pin and attachment plate are missing. The object has a dark green patina with some soil impaction. Length of frame: 11.92 mm. Width: 16.31 mm. Thickness: 1.93 mm. Weight: 0.710 grams. A late Iron Age to Roman cast copper alloy toggle of dumb-bell form, a cylindrical rod with discoidal terminals, which are flat and undecorated. In the centre of the rod there is a projecting longitudinal loop, the centre of the toggle below the loop is hollow. The underside of the toggle is decorated with a central vertical groove flanked by two ridges. The toggle is 25.45mm in length, 16.3mm wide including the loop, 12.75mm in diameter and weighs 12.04 grams.
