A Post Medieval complete cast lead alloy circular token. Powell Type 2 and 8. The obverse of the token has the letter P and the number 10 stamped into it the reverse is blank. It measures 20.14 mm in diameter, 2.30 mm thick and weighs 6.7 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely but those with initials are thought to be Post Medieval in date, c. 1550-1800 AD. The style of the font suggests that this token is from the latter half of this period, perhaps dating to the early Modern period.
