A silver cross and crosslet Tealby type penny of Henry II dating to the period AD 1158-1161. The coin is worn and bent. The obverse crown appears at first sight to be bifoliate but this may simply be wear and the bust is likely to be North bust A fig 1 (or possibly fig 3). Uncertain moneyer and mint.

The coins are all of silver and will be over 90% fine metal. Ten are whole pennies and five are cut halfpennies. However, there are no cut farthings present. A more detailed catalogue accompanies this report. The majority belong to the main series of the English Short Cross coinage, struck between 1180 and 1247, although the latest coin present can be dated to c. 1213-15.
