A medieval copper alloy bee-hive thimble of the 'beehive' type, which dates between circa 1350 and 1500 (Holmes, 1991). The thimble is domed with slightly flared sides and a raised, rounded 'tonsure' top with a perforated hole in the centre. The bee-hive pattern of dots is difficult is irregular. The thimble is 13mm in height, 19.90mm in diameter and weighs 1.93 grams.
