Copper alloy seal matrix. Cast circular die with a central motif of clasping hands. A circumferential legend is present, but only the letters [--]CAV[--] are clearly read by this reporter, much of the die surface being pitted. An integrally cast loop with drilled aperture is set on the back, at 12 O'clock relative to the motif. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1350.

Medieval lead seal matrix, flat with a pierced lug at the top of a cross-shaped rib on the reverse. Circular, diameter 26mm. Thickness 3.3mm (7.5mm at the lug). An octofoil. + S' · IOh'S · CVPRE (Seal of John Cooper). The initial cross is elaborate. A cross-bar on the upright of the letter P is a contraction mark. 13th century.

Incomplete post-medieval silver seal matrix. Short hexagonally faceted stem (extant height 11.5mm), triple collar and stumps of broken probably trefoil loop. Oval matrix (17 x 14mm) engraved with a skeleton, standing on a small mound between two sprigs and holding an hourglass and an arrow. Weighs 3.31g. c. AD 1650-1750.

A medieval copper-alloy seal matrix. The seal is circular and has a small loop on the reverse. The face is decorated with a quatrefoil frame with pointed angles. A cross motif is contained within this. The base of the cross has a diagonal support beam to either side. A smaller cross hangs from both of the arms. The inscription reads S' IOhANNIS DICTI CROLLING, perhaps meaning, 'Seal of John, called 'the curly'.
