An incomplete Medieval silver halfpenny of Henry VI (1422-1461), minted at London. Annulet issue, 1422-1427. Initial mark: cross V, plain obverse (North 1991: 75, ref: 1434; Withers and Withers 2003: 34).
Obverse: hENRIC (single or double saltire stop) [ ]L'; Crowned bust facing
Reverse: CIV[ ]/TAS/[ ]/DOn; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant, annulet in CIVI and LON quadrants
Diameter: 13.9mm. Weight: 0.41g. DA=12:8.
The coin has been double struck on the reverse.
