A fragment of a cast copper-alloy linch pin of Iron Age date. It is the foot of the pin, the rest missing due to old breaks. It is circular in shape, with the top part missing and at the rear it appears to curve to form the base of the shank. The face is decorated with green enamel with small squares of blue, white and red enamel.
The recorder has not seen the object and the identification is from the photograph. Unfortunately accurate measurements are not possible.
