A lead pencil. The object is circular in section with and tapers to a point at one end. The tip of the point has been bent to one side. The opposite end flares outwards slightly and flattens terminating with a sub-rectangular sectioned end. Compare LVPL-DFE099, LEIC-AC74C8 and NLM-83DC11 The length is 38mm, the width is 10mm and the weight 14.45g.

A Post Medieval copper alloy pair of mathematical or surveyor's dividers (AD 1600-1700). This instrument has a globular knopped handle at the hinge. The knop is faceted and broadly octagonal in cross-section. The arms are sub-triangular in cross-section; they are shaped to form a hollow circular section midway down the length. Just below this circular section there is a decorative lip on each arm. The arms taper slightly and both have iron corrosion products, possibly indicative of iron fitted points. A copper alloy medieval (AD c.1300-c.1400) harness pendant. Overall, the pendant measures 29.2mm long, 20.7mm wide and 5.8mm thick. It weighs 3.46g. The pendant is formed from a circular plate (1.3mm thick), which is convex on the obverse and concave on the reverse. From the top edge projects a suspension loop, turned through 90 degrees. it has a circular piercing through it. The edges are worn.

The foot plate of an incomplete early medieval brooch. The object is sub-triangular in plan and has the remains of a catchplate on the reverse which is undecorated. When viewing the front of the brooch there is a break at one of the points of the triangle and this is probably where the bow of the brooch was attached. The other two corners have two circular holes through the metal. Between each of the corners there is a break perhaps suggesting there were three projections from the foot plate. An incomplete post-Medieval to Modern cast copper-alloy seed-drill scoop (c. 1775-c. 1945). This scoop consists of a bowl and an incomplete stem. The stem is flat on the upper face. It is 'D'-shaped in cross-section but becomes square in cross-section close to the break. From the bowl, the stem flares in width and thickness towards the transverse break where the stem was stepped, narrowed and square in cross-section. The stem was stepped so that it could be inserted into a rotating drum. These objects have sometimes been misidentified as apothecary spoons or cosmetic implements. …

A fragment of a cast copper alloy drop handle from a late medieval vessel such as a bowl or perhaps chafing dish. The handle is three-sided and has a projecting acorn-like knop at its two corners. On the surviving end of the handle is one of a pair of separate zoomorphic dog's head-like attachments which secured the handle to the fittings on the bowl.

A medieval cast copper alloy strap slider, c.1150-1400 AD. The slider consists of a single, trapezoidal loop with a pair of opposed internal triangular projections about a quarter of the way up the sides of the frame. The sides of the frame are rectangular in section with a slight projecting knop in each upper corner and the centre of the upper edge. It measures 27.8mm long on the top edge, 23.4mm long at the bottom, 19.0mm tall and 3.5mm thick. It weighs 2.42 grams.
