Incomplete tinned cast copper alloy sub-rectangular shoe buckle with rounded corners and a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The spindle is now missing and would have originally had attached to it a chape, with internal spikes, and probably a pitchfork tongue. The outer edges of the frame are expanded, as are the sections of the frame that hold the drilled holes for the spindle. The frame has a moulded curvilinear line around the outer edge, while the back of the frame is plain. An incomplete copper-alloy openwork decorative fitting dating to the second or third centuries AD. The mount comprises a flat oval plate decorated with three spirals of openwork decoration. A flat, rectangular plate extends from one end of the plate. Part of this plate is bent back on itself. This appears to be post-depositional damage. Corrosion products (possibly mineralised leather?) adhere to the upper surface of this rectangular plate, giving it a darker, discoloured appearance. A fragment of an unidentified copper-alloy object, likely to be some element of personal adornment dating to the second or third centuries AD. The fragment comprises a flat circular plate, the upper surface of which possesses a circular cell filled with remnants of blue enamel. A copper-alloy object, possibly an unusual strap end dating to the late second or third century AD. The object comprises an end loop, which extends to a collar which is rectangular in plan and section. The collar is decorated with four ribs and grooves. Beyond this collar is a second loop, which is larger in diameter and more elongated in form. From this loop there extends a flat, tapering plate with a rounded, worn tip. A copper-alloy enamelled tack dating to the second or third centuries AD. The tack comprises a circular plate, the upper surface of which is divided into two cells with a ring of reserve metal. The outer cell contains remnants of discoloured, possibly originally blue, enamel. The inner cell also contains remnants of enamel. At the centre of the inner cell is a slight circular depression. A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy single-loop buckle (c. 1270-c. 1400).
The frame is roughly 'D'-shaped in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section. It is convex at the front and flat at the rear. The outer edge has a central lip with a pin rest and the bar is rectangular in cross-section. It has a complete copper-alloy wire pin which is circular in cross-section.
This frame and pin have a matt green patina and are corroded in places.

Pin: length: 17.1mm; diameter: 1.4mm.

A copper-alloy brooch from the medieval period, circa 1250-1400 AD. The brooch is lozenge shaped with trefoil projections at each angle and incurved sides. The frame is flat. The pin is attached through an aperture in one of the points of the lozengiform frame, below the trefoil terminal, and still articulates. The pin is collared and D-sectioned pin and tapers to a point. Originally the brooch was flat but two opposing ends are bent forwards. There appear to be slight traces of tinning.
