An incomplete copper-alloy openwork decorative fitting dating to the second or third centuries AD. The mount comprises a flat oval plate decorated with three spirals of openwork decoration. A flat, rectangular plate extends from one end of the plate. Part of this plate is bent back on itself. This appears to be post-depositional damage. Corrosion products (possibly mineralised leather?) adhere to the upper surface of this rectangular plate, giving it a darker, discoloured appearance. The object comprises an end loop, which extends to a collar which is rectangular in plan and section. The collar is decorated with four ribs and grooves. Beyond this collar is a second loop, which is larger in diameter and more elongated in form. From this loop there extends a flat, tapering plate with a rounded, worn tip. Fragment of a late Roman copper alloy buckle of Hawkes and Dunning's Type IIa. The fragment consists of one side of the bow which was decorated with two confronted dophins. The animal's head is modelled in a simplified form, there is a short crest marked by an incised, longitudinal line. Along the length of the crest is series of transverse lines. RIC III, p. 418, no. 458. The coin is in fine condition with irregular corroded edges and an attractive dark brown patina. This coin is 28.76mm long, 25.80mm wide, 3.90mm thick, diameter 28.76mm and weighs 8.8g. Die axis: 6 o'clock. This coin was originally identified as a sestertius, but at 8.8g it is too light, so is probably an as.

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate that is surmounted by a truncated loop. On the reverse are two rearward facing perforated lug that would have held the spring support bar, spring and pin are missing. The bow emanates from the head plate but is truncated soon after. There is an off centre hole in the head plate, situated to the left side of the bow, this is most likely a repair whereby a looped wire was passed through the hole to hold the spring in place other repaired examples include GLO-75D717 and GLO-774AD5 Date 75-175AD

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman figurine of Mercury wearing a silver torc. The figurine is very good condition with many of the facial and body features clear; however the left arm is missing above the elbow.
