Frame 14.9 x 17.6mm. Plate 15 x 8.5mm (rear part narrower, 5.2mm). Overall length 27.5mm. 13th - 14th century.

Early Medieval, cast copper alloy strap end of Thomas' Class A Type 1 with possible enamel inlaid, Trewhiddle style decoration. The strap end is lanceolate with a tiny animal head terminal marked by two bulbous eyes and a V on its nose. Above the head are two, incised, U shaped ears. The main panel is rectangular and bears a Trewhiddle style animal executed in an angular manner, the tail, nose and crest being square ended. Medieval copper alloy buckle, pin and part of the sheet plate missing: oval frame with offset, narrowed bar and a convex outside edge; distorted rectangular plate with frame recesses, pin slot next to a transverse engraved groove, two rivet holes and a side-to-side engraved line near the missing inside edge. Frame 10 x 13mm. Estimated length of plate 26mm. Width 10mm. The rear part is complete but 1.5 - 3mm narrower. Estimated overall length 39mm. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval composite strap end, made from three layers of sheet copper alloy. Rectangular, narrowing at its tip with a small, irregularly shaped projection. Decoration consists of an incised St Andrew's cross just beneath the single rivet. Below this is a transverse line. Split end formed by the central layer of sheet metal being shorter than the other two. Condition fair with some corrosion. Length 34.2mm, Width 7.7mm, Thickness 0.8mm, Mass 2.39g. Medieval gilt copper alloy buckle, pin and parts of the sheet plate missing: oval frame with offset, narrowed bar and a broad and shallow moulded pin notch or rest flanked by a pair of narrow ribs in the centre of the straight outside edge; rectangular plate with slight frame recesses, pin slot, an engraved groove parallel with both sides, two dome-headed rivets and a hole for a third rivet truncated by a break (one part of the fold and the inside edge missing). Frame 12.5 x 15mm. Extant length of plate 19mm. Width 10mm. Extant overall length 30mm. 13th - 14th century.

The strap end's body is lanceolate and bears two longitudinal panels of enamal inlay into each of which was set three, two loop, scrolls of silver wire. The animal head terminal is made up of two, enamel filled, curved lines representing the eyes and notches forming the nose. .
