Early Medieval, copper alloy strap end, which does not fit into Thomas's classification but is best seen as a variant of his Class A. The body is oval, but from it projects a D-sectioned bar around which are two transverse mouldings. On the body is a panel of niello inlay. Trewhiddle style decoration consists of an animal, facing towards the strap end's split but with its head turned back over its shoulder. Some niello survives. Only one rivet was used, set within a plain rounded area; there are two indents on the upper edge of the split end. Condition good but some detail is obscured…

Early Medieval, copper alloy strap end of Thomas' Class A Type 2, with geometric decoration and possible inlay. The strap end is lanceolate with a simplified animal head terminal made up of four facets representing the forehead and nose. The decorative panel follows the curving shape of the strap end and bears a close-set pattern of incised crossing lines making up a net-like design. Early Medieval, cast copper alloy strap end of Thomas' Class A Type 1 with possible enamel inlaid, Trewhiddle style decoration. The strap end is lanceolate with a tiny animal head terminal marked by two bulbous eyes and a V on its nose. Above the head are two, incised, U shaped ears. Medieval composite strap end, made from three layers of sheet copper alloy. Rectangular, narrowing at its tip with a small, irregularly shaped projection. Decoration consists of an incised St Andrew's cross just beneath the single rivet. Below this is a transverse line. Split end formed by the central layer of sheet metal being shorter than the other two. Condition fair with some corrosion. Length 34.2mm, Width 7.7mm, Thickness 0.8mm, Mass 2.39g. The strap end's body is lanceolate and bears two longitudinal panels of enamal inlay into each of which was set three, two loop, scrolls of silver wire.
