A copper alloy enamelled possible mount of uncertain date, Roman to Medieval, AD 43 - 1500. It is a sub-rectangular plaque with no evidence of attachment surviving. A recessed rectangular panal along one long edge of the front face is decorated with two six-pointed stars in relief copper alloy, on a background of blue enamel, with a dot of red enamel at the centre of each star. There are possible traces of the edge of another similar panel, but the other long edge is broken, truncating the design. A Roman copper alloy and iron 'bell-shaped' furniture or box mount dating from AD 43 - 410. The mount is circular and the upper, decorated face is concave with a central conical projecting element. The cone is 6.3mm tall and 6.5mm diameter at the apex. The cone is decorated with a recessed circular dimple on the apex. A silver Iron Age coin; a North Eastern unit attributed to VEPO of the Corieltauvi, dating from about AD 10 - AD 50. The coin is slightly dished and the obverse is illegible. Compare ABC number 1869 (Van Arsdell 955, BMC 3310-14). The coin is 15.5mm diameter, 1.4mm thick, 1.12g.
