Silver, Roman, denarius of Vespasian (AD 69-79), dating to AD 70 (Reece Period 4). Probable reverse: COS ITER TR POT, Pax seated left with caduceus. Abrasion whilst within the plough soil has resulted in the loss of some of the original surface detail. The coin is incomplete, only about 50 -45% of the coin remains the rest presumably broken and lost in antiquity. Diameter: 18.1 mm Thickness: 2.8 mm Weight: 1.9 g

An incomplete small iron key from a rotary lock, of Late Roman dating (AD 200 to AD 400). The key consists of a D-sectioned circular bow with a rectangular stem projecting from one side. The bit of the key is also rectangular but is set at an angle of 90° to that of the stem, which is a Roman characteristic. The bit has two horizontal clefts cut into it, one on each side, creating an S shape. No decoration is present on the key. The key measures 48.7 mm in length, 28.1 mm wide and is 28.6 mm thick. An incomplete copper alloy buckle frame dating to the Post Medieval period (circa AD 1570 - AD 1700). The buckle is rectangular in plan and D shaped in cross section. It is convex in shape on the obverse. The inside and outside edges of the buckle are bevelled. There is no decoration evident on the obverse or the reverse. The strap bar which would have sat in the centre of the frame is missing, presumably lost in antiquity. An example of this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 1996, page 82, No. 506. A cast copper-alloy shoe buckle dating from the Medieval to Post Medieval period (AD 1400 - AD 1680). The buckle is double looped and sub-trapezoidal in shape with a drilled frame for a separate iron spindle. The frame has moulded bifid sides and incised lines at either end. A copper-alloy chape is still attached and the sub-triangular copper-alloy pin survives. At either end of the bar there are visible knops present. An incomplete asymmetrical double looped buckle dating from the Post Medieval period (AD 1575 - AD 1700). The buckle is subrectangular in plan and in cross section. The left side of the buckle is rectangular in shape and is slightly wider than the right, it also has a trefoil shaped outer edge. The right side of the buckle is a D shape and the outer edge is curved. There is a groove on the outer edge of each loop. The edges on the obverse are angled, there is no decoration on the reverse. An incomplete cast copper alloy belt mount dating to the Post Medieval Period (AD 1550 - AD 1650). The mount is heart shaped and slightly concave on the reverse. There is a collar at the point end of the heart separating the heart from a rectangular section, which has been broken, presumably in antiquity. The reverse has two protruding points one at each end of the heart, these have been bent but are in tact. The mount measures 29.2 mm in length, 20.2 mm wide. It is 7.3 mm thick and weighs 5.6 g.
