Lead seal matrix. This is flat and pointed-oval; there is a latin cross engraved in the centre with a cross saltire in the centre of the long arm. The inscription around the outside is unreadable. On the reverse is a rectangular handle towards the top edge, now squashed. This artefact dates to the 13th century.

An incomplete lead pilgrim's ampulla dating to the Medieval period. It is sub-circular in shape at the bottom and tapers to the neck which is now broken and bent over onto the obverse. It is cream/white in colour and is decorated with a scallop-shell design on the reverse. The obverse appears plain and undecorated but is badly worn. The presence of the scallop-shell design on the reverse of the ampulla signifies pilgrimage itself and the obverse would have originally been decorated with symbols or lettering to attribute the ampulla to a specific place.
