A silver drachm, a posthumous issue of the Indo-Greek king Hermaios, early first century BC, somewhere in the Kabul/Gandhara region (the modern border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan). It is Bopearachchi series 11 (O. Bopearachchi, Monnaies gréco-bactriennes et indo-grecques, Catalogue raisonné, Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, 1991). A more specific reference is Senior 22D (Senior, R C The Coinage of Hermaios and its imitations struck by the Scythians, 2000).

A medieval copper-alloy English jetton. 'Standing king under canopy' type inscribed REX AN, Mernick reference 5a2.5, dating to c. 1350-1400. See Mitchiner (1988, 122) no. 272, though this has a different legend.
It measures 23.7 mm in diameter and weighs 2.93 g. It has a central punch on its reverse.

A post-Medieval copper-alloy strap mount.
The head of the mount is in the form of a bell, with moulded detail on the upper surface and an apex knop. There are two integral rivets on the otherwise flat reverse, located at the top and bottom respectively. Both rivets have been bent inwards, and the lower rivet has, beneath its point, a fragment of a dark textile. Traces of a black coating adhere to the surfaces of the mount.

An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp of Howsam type A.1.1, and medieval in date.
The central portion of the clasp is broadly oval, has a convex upper surface, flat underside and a vertical perforation at its centre. Two rounded tabs project outwards at the right-hand end of this portion; Between these tabs are two pieces of sheet copper-alloy which have presumably been wrapped around a hinge bar. At the left-hand end is a terminal in the form of a moulded zoomorphic head with a horizontal perforation linking its two vertical outer faces.

A worn Late Medieval/ Early Post-Medieval Venetian silver soldino of Doge Leonardo Loredan (1501-1521). It is worn with a die axis of 12.
During the 15th and 16th centuries the English economy experienced a serious shortage of English-struck halfpennies. In order to fill this gap people began using foreign coinage such as the soldino, meaning 'little shilling', which entered into English currency through Venetian traders.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman trumpet headed brooch dating to AD 75-175.The head is trumpet-shaped with the axis bar and pin attached within the flared end ( the spring is missing). At the top of the trumpet there is a incomplete loop. The bow is decorated with two transverse ribs flanking a devolved "acanthus" style knop which comprises two tri-lobed semi-circular mouldings flanking a central plain semi-circular moulding. Roman to Post Medieval (1st to 18th century) unidentified artefact: The copper alloy artefact is a sub L-shaped pin with a curved bend in the centre, which may be accidental. One terminal of the pin is slightly flattened in profile forming a D-shaped section, and is folded over, but this fold may be due to damage. The other terminal is also slightly flattened for a D-shaped profile. Both terminals taper to a sharp point.
