A cast copper-alloy spur buckle dating to the medieval period. The frame is incomplete and would either have been D-shaped or circular, although not enough of it remains to be able to conclude its original shape. It has part of a copper alloy pin looped though an aperture in the plate which is broken in line with the frame. The buckle plate tapers slightly away from the frame and has vertically incised lines decorating its narrowest part. The back of the plate is flat and undecorated. The plate has a small rivet hole below the pin for attachment, with a copper alloy rivet still in situ.
